Botley Baptist Church is accesible to students of Oxford University and Brookes University. Several students from both universities have worshipped with us and become part of our communnity.
We feel privileged and blessed to have had them in our midst, and with their permission, have published their reflections on their time with us.

BECCY: I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Oxford as a student and a big part of that was thanks to Botley Baptist Church. They had, and continue to have such a great mix of activities on to get involved in all year around outside the normal morning services (e.g. church trips to the seaside, harvest suppers, house groups and jazz services), and they encourage your involvement to whatever level you feel comfortable with from simply attending services up to taking part in them. Everyone was so welcoming from the very first service I went to and I made friends that felt more like family. Now I’ve graduated I will miss my Oxford church family, but even now I know they still hold me in their prayers. If as a new student to the area you are looking for ‘your’ church this is it!
SARAH: It was so lovely to hear from you! I haven't been back to Oxford since I graduated. I have been working hard and now have a permanent position in a Church of England School. Sadly since I last saw you I have lost my Gran and my Grandad who lived with us. This is the first Summer that I have had any holiday at all. We went to Ireland where Grandad is buried and then later went to North Yorkshire for two weeks. Me and my dad enjoyed a ride on a steam train. My parents are both well but have had a lot to sort out. I now attend a little Methodist church close to home. I still think of you all often too. We keep trying to make plans to visit Oxford but we haven't got that far yet. I am pleased to hear all the good news about the church and I often think of my many friends there who were always so kind to me. I hope you all have a lovely time in India. Please send my love to everyone and I hope that it will not be too long till I see you all again.
